Will they do their absolute best to convince us that they exist and can’t be changed? Oh, yes. Instead, I’ll simply state the fact: There are no limits. I’m not going to go into the legion of reasons we’re told that - because we’ve all heard them before and they aren’t worth the time. leaders’ and all the other self-limiting statements that women are taught they have to operate to in the business environment.Ĭall it “received wisdom,” “conventional wisdom” or “just the way it is” - the logic is that there are limits to what women are capable of or can achieve. ![]() That’s how I feel about the ‘glass ceiling,’ ‘women can’t get venture funding’ or ‘women aren’t as good/strong/economically capable, etc. Not unless we all agree to put one there. Long before it was a trendy thing to say in response, I kept saying…and saying…and saying, “There is no box.”īecause there isn’t. For years, I’ve hated the expression “Think outside the box.”
